PLAYLIST | WHERE HAVE I BEEN?!

Saturday, December 24, 2016

Hello Internet!

It's been a month I didn't post anything in this blog - nor that I wrote some drafts. I know I shouldn't make excuses but things have been really rough lately and I need some quality times to sort them out.  I had final exams, life exams - lol, no but really, I thought quarter life crisis was not real until I live with it.

But, here I am. I'm coming back with a cool playlist to share. I listen to this playlist all day, like every time I have spare time to listen to music, no further thoughts, just hit play on it. I have Spotify if you want to check my playlist early 'cause I'm updating regularly.

So... here's my last playlist for 2016. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do! Xx
  1. Angel by the Wings - Sia
  2. Capsize - FRENSHIP and Emily Warren
  3. Come Up for Air - Free Swim feat Mariel
  4. Comes and Goes (In Waves) - Greg Laswell
  5. Dead Hearts - Stars
  6. Dust to Dust - The Civil Wars
  7. Hanya - Melly Goeslaw
  8. Hold Me - The Sweeplings
  9. Make Me Cry - Steffan Argus
  10. Miss You - Gabrielle Aplin

FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM (2016) | SPOILER REVIEW

Monday, November 28, 2016

It feels like a dream to be back to Wizarding World. It feels like home. Isn't it? :')

What makes Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is even more special is because it is an original screenplay written by the one and only J.K. Rowling. None knows anything. So it is an incredible experience to see the film for the very first time without actually know what's going to happen. As a hardcore Harry Potter fan, this is like a dream comes true, right?

I enjoyed this movie so much! By the time you read this post, I already watch it for several times because it's worth every penny. To be able to experience a world filled with magic, hear familiar spells and even mouthing it as the actor actually said it on the movie, it's just... remarkable!

IT'S OKAY TO CRY

Friday, November 25, 2016

Day to day live and trying to not only exist, but live in the moments, we all hope for the most part - or even, the whole our life journey is awesome. However, in reality, we all have ups and downs. That's how it is. One day you feel like the happiest person on the galaxy, having everything you want and need on both hands. Another day, puff! that beautiful smile is gone, tears are running down, everything you want and need seem impossible to reach, to have. There are moments when we laugh so much even to the tiniest, stupidest thing, but there are also moments when we feel frustrated, stressed, or even hurt. Sometimes, we know why it happens, sometimes we don't.
Everything happens for a reason
That's true. That is always true and you just have to be patient, to have faith that God will never put you off limit.

MAKEUP REVIEW | MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA

Monday, November 21, 2016

I know I'm so behind to try this mascara but I can't help when I knew this mascara is finally coming to my country. It came after Maybelline Magnum Barbie which I thought really weird. In US, this mascara came out way before the Barbie one. But, who am I to judge? (read in Kaecilius' voice)

If you follow my blog for a long time, you know I love mascara. I love how my lashes looks longer and fuller without using false lashes. I'm okay without eyeshadow or eyeliner, but leaving house without mascara? It's bizarre for me.

MAKEUP REVIEW | MAYBELLINE FIT ME DEWY + SMOOTH FOUNDATION

Wednesday, November 16, 2016

Hello!

I have tested, re-tested and tested again and today I finally have my final thought about this foundation. I bought this foundation because so many people like it, so many people hate it.

Let's start with the packaging. It's a square, glass packing, very light on hand but it doesn't have pump so I have to pour the product into the back of my hand. Ck, not very practical. Because the consistency of the product is liquid-y, it's such a mess on my hand because I wasn't expecting that. So yeah, the packaging is not really a good one.

INTERVIEW WITH EPIC SENSATION

Thursday, November 10, 2016

Hello!

I was given another chance to interview another music producer slash DJ. Having zero basic lesson being an interviewer, I was so glad to be able to interview people with different passion with me. Not stopping there, we're from different countries. My first ever interview was with Dwight Dyer, creative director/producer based on Atlanta, Georgia USA. Today I want to share my interview with Palash Jha, a DJ - producer based in Bhopal, India

Vera : Hello! I'm Vera. Firstly I wanna say thank you for doing this interview with me!
Palash : Hello, Vera! I'm so excited because this is my first international interview.

Vera : Great! Are you ready?
Palash : Hell yeah!

Vera : Would you like to introduce yourself?
Palash : Yeah. I'm Palash Jha as know as Epic Sensation. I'm from Bhopal, M.P, India. I'm a DJ slash producer... I'm 19 years old.

Vera : You're so young! How did you start producing and what gave you the motivation to stay with it?
Palash : Actually this started when I was a baby, music was in me from my childhood. Actually my mom used to tell me that I used to tap and make sounds or beats by tapping utensils. Then I started learning instruments. I play keyboard, congo, and bongo. But the main interest in music turned up in me through guitar. After that heard this song, Animals by Martin Garrix, that inspired me cuz he was 18 at that time and it was amazing. So I started producing stuff and now here I am, I'm 19 got my two tracks released globally with the association of Black Caviar Music. Its all about the love and interest toward's music.

DOCTOR STRANGE (2016) | SPOILERS REVIEW

Sunday, November 06, 2016

Hello, Marvel maniacs!

Your new hero has finally arrived! Doctor Strange is ready to see you now... ups, quite close, guys. It's pretty close ;)

I am beyond excited to share my thoughts about this movie. I watched it on October, 24 - yes, a week early from US premiere. Again, have to say maybe it is one of those privileges to live in Indonesia. So, I watched it with my sister, who happens to be as freak as I am - we literally crazy about movies and tv series, watch too many.

Excited because... Stephen Strange is the new guy! We're not gonna talk about Cap, Tony, or Thor. We're going to talk about new superhero, new face, new story and even... new universe in the same universe if it's make any sense.

Let me tell you guys. I may spill one, two or more spoilers because I want to talk about alternate universe and connection to other movies, to the sequels and stuffs. Don't hate me because I already warned you ;)

INTERVIEW WITH BLACK CAVIAR MUSIC

Saturday, October 29, 2016

Earlier this week, I was given a chance to interview a creative director. That was exciting because I never done something like this before! We did the interview online, communicated through emails and dms, that was quite fun! :)

So, without further do... Here's my long distance interview with Dwight Dyer, creative director slash owner of Black Caviar Music

Vera : Hi. Would you like to introduce yourself to my readers?
Dwight : Hi. My name is Dwight and I am the owner of Black Caviar Music in Atlanta, Georgia USA.

Dwight Dyer
Vera : What is the difference between Black Caviar Music and other music publishers?
Dwight : The main difference is my percentage splits are far more generous than others and I operate like a family business – hands on, personable.

Vera : What other producers, songwriters and/or artists do you see as your primary inspirations?
Dwight : I'm inspired by the CHIC organization – Nile Rogers, Don Cornelius from Soul Train, Barry Gordy – Motown and Damon Dash.

Vera : How did you get your start in the music business?
Dwight : I got started by first being a writer and copy editor for a major newspaper in Los Angeles. Then I reviewed music and published articles. From there I wanted to have a better understanding of music catalogs and agreements.

Vera : What motivated you?
Dwight : It motivates me to seek out new music of all genres and to find that hit song – To place in the top ten is the goal.

Vera : When finding new music to add to your company, what specific qualities in the music are you looking for?
Dwight : No specifics to any new music other than original writers and producers.

Vera : How would you personally define your role in the creative process?
Dwight : I am hands on. Listening to vocals, power and weakness, fear and strengths . As a publisher I am on the finishing end so I rarely spend time in studios but communicating with managers and agents.

WEEKEND MOTIVATION

I've realized people tend to share their motivations on weekdays - mostly on Monday but what about the rest of the weekend? Don't we need motivation too? What about people who have anxiety, depression? Mental illnesses don't see is it weekdays or weekend. It is just happen. Problems don't see days too. It is just happen.

So to change the mainstream and of course, to motivate people out there during weekend. Here are my motivation for your guys. Firstly, take a baby step: have a nap, listen to your favorite songs, watch your favorite movies, call your parents, family or best friends. Go shopping! Have a supper at your favorite restaurant. Do the thing you love the most.

MY CURRENT GO TO MAKEUP LOOK

Monday, October 24, 2016

Today I thought I'd share my current go to makeup look with you guys since it's been awhile. It's kinda my typical makeup look as if I'm going to hanging out with my friends, or just casual family dinner. I do switch around a little bit for my eye makeup or my lipstick, but this is like my basic makeup routine - if it's make any sense :p

I don't really like heavy makeup for most of the days, I'm concern on my complexion more than eye makeup or lipstick I'm wearing. I don't know, I just like having flawless looking skin, with a good touch of blush on my cheeks. I love looking fresh.

Enough rumbling, let's hop into the routine!

AZTEC INDIAN HEALING CLAY

Friday, October 21, 2016

Today I'm gonna talk about my holy grail face mask - well, everyone's actually. Claimed as 'world's most powerful facial', Aztec Indian Healing Clay is seriously a big deal. It is that amazing and I'm so in love. I've been using this mask for almost a year now and I can feel the difference.

The benefits of this product are very impressive. It reduces pores, acne scars, and tightening your skin. I don't have much skin problem, but I do have whiteheads around my nose and it's a lot less than I used to have before. I noticed my skin is getting clearer.

UNEXPECTED LIFE CHANGES

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

None ever expected changes in their lives. None ever be ready for those changes, good or bad, either way we never ready, never expect, never know why and how it will happens. Change can be pleasing when we've involved in the process: new career wise or new relationship. We know the process but do we know the result? No. On the other hand, there are some uninvited changes that feel like throwing flares at us, giving us anxiety, fear, and disappointment.

I always been being real with people around me. I share many happiness, my hobbies, my interests on social medias. As long as I remember, I almost never share my problems on internet. I share some sad quotes just to share my feelings occasionally but I never share my real problem because it's personal. Without being said that I'm very introvert person, I just don't know how and why I share it.

Today, I just wanna say that I'm in an unfortunate situation where my life has changed. A lot. It changes unexpectedly, uninvited, and to the point which it is unwanted. To be real and completely honest, I don't know why I say that, why I share this post on my blog where I usually share my happiness, where I usually encourage people to be positive, to be strong, to be themselves. I just think, maybe... at least one person out there in the world, will feel related to this post, and not feeling alone when the world seems against them. I don't expected people will understand my circumstances, nor that I'm seeking sympathy. I just wanna share, that's all.

I don't like these changes. I've been working on my dreams for so long, been treating myself better than I used to be, been cherishing my life the best I can do. Suddenly, in only one day it changed everything. It changed a big part of my life that I cherish the most. It changed my perspective at this moment - I don't like this perspective, honestly. It feels so bad to the point that the world against me, like the universe hates me, doesn't approve all of my hard works. It feels like my world ends. Like I'm not worth for my dreams. It feels so bad that I just don't want to face people, literally just wanna be myself, crying and regretting my life. These negative feelings are so real, I can't even handle it.

I always try to be positive everyday, as the best I can. To be this negative person with negative thoughts, it wrecks my heart. I never know that I can be this negative towards myself, my life, my dreams. Everything is related. My health against my dreams. My dreams against my relationship. My relationship seems going to nowhere. Just... bad.

Well, people said this is the quarter life crisis. I've heard that before. Now that I'm having my own ongoing quarter life crisis, it sucks. If I have fast forward button, I will press it really hard.

Right now, as I'm typing these... I don't know what I should do. I don't know what I'm going to do but I hope it won't last long. I know it won't and I'm such a big believer of 'everything happens for reasons' so just gotta be strong, right? Just wait for those reasons. I just... I'm not ready for any of these. I don't want this to happen.

Thank you for understanding me. I'm so sorry for sharing such negative post, but let's be real. We're humans and we're going through ups and downs. This is just a glimpse of my downs.

THROWBACK MOVIE | EP. 4: CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC (2009)

Friday, October 14, 2016

Girls and shopping are such good best friends, right? I only knew a very little amount of girls who don't like shopping. I believe they do, but you know, they shop less than us, shopaholics.

Based from the best selling novel written by Sophie Kinsella, Confessions of a Shopaholic gives us something simple, authentic, and of course, very relatable. Girls want something, girls need something, girls love to shop, girls love to buy themselves something new for every occasion, right?

Confessions of a Shopaholic is such a very simple and predictable movie. It gives a great amount of humours, romance, family and friendship drama. This is the perfect romantic-comedy movie, like your summer fling, it doesn't have to be complicated to have a deep moral of story, right?

FIRST IMPRESSION | ELIZAVECCA CARBONATED BUBBLE CLAY MASK

Monday, October 10, 2016

You know I never have any interest toward Korean beauty products but this one is really interesting! I saw it for the first time when Shannon or Shaaanxo on YouTube and I was like, "Okay that's really interesting!" she also gave a good review about it. But then, because Korean beauty product is not my thing, I forgot. Two days later, another favourite beauty guru from Indonesia, Harumi (MyTipsCantik) tried it in front of camera, doing first impression as Shannon did. Alright, this mask is really a thing!

I went on my Shopee app on my phone, type the name and bam! Ordered it! What I like about this app is if you shop for more than 70K rupiah, you get free shipping payment! That's a win win right?

I got this mask three or four weeks ago but I haven't tried it yet because I was so busy, then I was very sick, so today, I finally tried! Here's my first impression! ;)

psssttt this post is surprisingly contains something unattractive but very funny at the same time ;)

THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU ARE SICK

Friday, October 07, 2016

I've been sick for a week now and that's really annoying. I have so many things to do (and yes, so little time!) then I got sick, it's kinda stressing me out even more! But, on the bright side, this is my time to take a rest, stay on my bed all day, right?

The problem is, if you're someone like me, who likes getting productive and active during days, being sick feels like being isolated. Especially when you're all alone at home, it's even more boring. Hella boring.

So, what to do when you are sick but bored? Here are some tips from me!

CURRENT BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Monday, October 03, 2016

I'm bad at making favourite post, I know. I don't do this regularly but well, let's say this is my first attempt to make it more regular :))

I don't wearing much makeup this month because I've been dealing with bad breakout on my forehead, my nose and some on my cheeks for like almost three months. Well, I said bad because I never have serious breakout until now. I'm not exactly sure why, but my guess is because the weather and also, when I was being a bridesmaid, the makeup and the tools the makeup artist used weren't clean and not friendly to my sensitive skin. So yeah, it sucks. But thank God it's getting better now!

INSIDE MY CLOSET | PINK BLAZER AND SUEDE PINK SHOES

Friday, September 23, 2016

Hello, everyone!

If you know me for quite long, you know pink is one of my favourite colours. Currently, this beautiful, romantic and girly colour has been my go to. Either shirt, outerwear, or even shoes! These following stuffs are not new, I have them for months and have been my go to for some times.

Started my master degree earlier September, I try to find something girly but still appropriate to wear for school. Back when I was undergraduate student, I wore only shirt, jeans and flat shoes. That was boring. Now, as a graduate student, I want to change a bit. Giving an upgrade to my fashion choices, looking more stylish and of course, look like a woman.

I don't talk a lot about fashion on my blog because it's not something I'm expert of. Not that beauty, movies and music are my speciality, but at least, I enjoy it so much. With fashion, I haven't found my own style, I think my choices haven't explain who I am. Now, slowly, I'm getting into that. Well, hope I can share a lot in the future!

I like wearing this blazer! It's so comfortable during the hot and rainy weather, makes the rest of my outfit looks more expensive than they are. Also, it's so appropriate for school. The material is silk and satin, so comfortable and go with every colour. I like to combine with black jeans. For this shoes, I bought this shoes for my undergraduate thesis final examination. Yes. I bought a new shoes with a hope as a good luck. Well, basically, I just love shopping.

Blazer : The Executive | Shoes : Heatwave | Watch : Rolex | Ring : H&M

HOW TO STOP RUNNING LATE

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

Hello!

The least favourite thing when it comes to going for school or college, or work even, is of course, leaving your bed in the morning. I personally love waking up early and start my day a bit early because I find it more productive and less stressful than starting out late.

But, there are those days when I don't want to leave the most comfortable place on earth a.k.a bed, and just want to be there all day, basically. Let's be real, it will never happened. I tend to snooze my alarm, back to sleep, and then wake up late. That's not my favourite part.

So, what do I do to avoid being late?

THROWBACK MOVIE | EP. 3: BAREFOOT (2014)

Wednesday, September 14, 2016

Hello, everyone!

Rewind to 2014, I watched so many romantic-comedy movies. No particular reason, just... had a very bad experience in relationship. So yeah. All I needed that time was laugh and cry.

One of those then new released movies was Barefoot. First time I watched the trailer, I was like 'The idea is so fresh but at the same time reminds me Rapunzel story!' then I gave it a go and bam! I loved it! So much!

Barefoot is about finding love. Daisy (Evan Rachel Wood) has been locked inside her house with her psychotic mother ever since she was born. She didn't go to school, never interacted with anyone but her mother. On the other hand, Jay (Scott Speedman) came from a very wealthy family. He had MBA as degree but for some reasons, he's an asshole. He loves to party, one night stand, and all of his actions make him as a black sheep in his family. His father didn't really trust him, Jay became under shadowed by his younger brother's success. At one point, he has no goal at life. His life is going nowhere.

FAVOURITE EVERYDAY FRAGRANCE

Saturday, September 10, 2016

Hello!

When it comes to fragrance, I never changed it drastically. Everyone around me knows I'm into soft and flowery fragrance. For everyday use, I almost never use perfume, I prefer cologne or body mist because strong scent and sweat are not a good combination. I hate having my skin sticky (it's actually not sticky, but that's how I feel).

So here are my favourite everyday fragrances. I switch between them weekly or even daily, depends on my mood, really.

GET TO KNOW ME

Friday, September 02, 2016

Hello!

I've been here for years now and I just realised I never do the 'get to know me' tag. Previously, I've done the similar tags, 20 facts about me and 50 facts about me but those are so last years thou. I thought, why don't I pick another tag to fill?

I answered 25 questions in this tag. Some of the questions are from the original tag (probably, not really know which one the original thou) and the rest are from my fellow followers from tumblr. I thought I'd fun if I combine, because why not?

STRANGER THINGS | SPOILER FREE REVIEW

Friday, August 26, 2016

Hello!

I never shared my view of TV Series, have I? When I finished this series for the first time (and by the time I share this review, I already watched it twice. No kidding!), I'm so in love with this series and grateful for Netflix

Stranger Things is a Netflix original series with 8 episodes. Yes. I want more! This series is created by Matt and Ross Duffer, the typical mini series with around 55 mins run time. A sci-fi series like no other. It's like Stephen King meets Steven Spielberg with a bit advice from Stanley Kubrick. I swear, this series will makes you stay up all night to finish it!

TOP 10 MARVEL MOVIES

Monday, August 22, 2016

Hello!

If you read my blog for awhile, you must be know that I love Marvel, I love superheroes. To short the list into 10 movies only is kinda hard but I want to. So do you understand my dilemma?

After thoughtful decision, here is my version of top 10 Marvel movies :

THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN | SPOILER FREE BOOK REVIEW

Friday, August 19, 2016

Hello!

It's been awhile since the last time I posted a book review, now that I finally finished one, I thought I'd share! I actually owned this book for more than a year but at some point, it never gets me to read it. Ever since I finished Gone Girl, a depressing psychological suspense thriller book became one of my favourites.

The Girl on the Train became one of the most read books all over the world. Needless to say, this is that one book everyone crazy about. The hype is real and for me personally, it worth the hype.

This Paula Hawkins' novel is a dark and haunting story with unreliable main characters. Using three women as the narrator of the story: Rachel, Megan and Anna - Hawkins bring us to the conclusions and which are most likely wrong.

HAIR CARE TIPS

Monday, August 15, 2016

Hello!

Short or long hair, the process of taking care of it such a lazy thing to do. I've done so many things with my hair such as smoothing, toning, dying my hair from natural brown to black (school mandatory sucks!), ironing (both straight and curling iron) and even there's a time I didn't taking care of it. When I neglect my strands, it gets dry and damage.

Here are my best tips for hair care, hope it works for you as well!

INNER CIRCLE OF LIFE

Friday, August 12, 2016

Hello!

As I got older and hopefully more mature, I realise that I don't need bunch of friends. I only need real friends. I only need real people to spend my life with real people who understand and accept me for who I am like how I understand and accept them.

I'm still in my early twenties. I have long life to live by. I have dreams, passions, and future to chase. I can't do those things without my inner circle. My inner circle influence so much to how I accept myself, how I chase my dreams, how I try my best to create my future in hands.

Inner circle is a group of people who you trust, love, and supportive of your life choices. They are, personally, people who you look up to, who you find when you want to share good or bad news, who you value so much as much as they value you. It can be family, friends, mentors, lectures, or even your psychiatrist. It doesn't matter who they are, what matter is how they appreciate you, your choice and your life, like how you appreciate them.

SUICIDE SQUAD | SPOILER FREE REVIEW

Monday, August 08, 2016

Hello, everyone!

One of the most anticipated movies, Suicide Squad, came out a couple weeks ago. I was watching this comic adaption movie with my sister and my best friends, needless to say, we all are literally addicted to movie. It's always a good time to watch movie together with movie addicts, right?

First of all, I'm quiet impressed with the trailer and its rating on that time. I mean, come on, 9.3 on IMDb when the first trailer came out? That was insane!

Second of all, the tagline, Worst Heroes Ever. It should attracts you at some points right? When you watch the trailer, and start to look up all informations, this tagline is really gets me! I mean, how bad they are? and how is it possible for bad guys - technically criminals, to be heroes? Right?

So, how I feel after watching this movie?

I'm going to be honest, well, I always share my honest review, am I not?

When I watched the trailer for the first time, I was impressed. I never thought DC Comics could make a movie like this. Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy somehow make me pictured DC that complicated, mature, and dark image. Less humour (we barely heard any), roller coster of feelings, and intense. I don't know if anybody else felt, but that's how I feel.

Suicide Squad is not intense, not complicated, not dark at all. Instead, it is a full colour, more humour, and easy to guess. Cheap.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT FOUNDATION

Wednesday, August 03, 2016

Hello, everyone!

For years I've been using makeup, foundation is one of the trickiest products to find. A good foundation gives our skin a nearly perfect, glowing complexion and of course, gives you confidence. What happens when you get the wrong, bad foundation? Cakey looking, too dark, too pale, anything but natural. That's disaster! It seems take a long time, but it's worth.

Here are my simple tips to find the perfect foundation:

Sunday, July 31, 2016

Hello, everyone!

I have so many products and things that I've been into for months now. I think since it's already halfway through 2016, I'd like to share with all of you beautiful people! I have makeup, skin care, fashion and also other random things.

I also want to point out the half of this year is personally not really good. So many heartbreaking moments in both my personal life and what happened in the world. But also, 2016 started with me eliminated negativities out of my life because I feel, I'm too old for dramas but also too young for midlife crisis.

Anyway, let's get started with the real things!

THROWBACK MOVIE | EP. 2: WHAT MAISIE KNEW (2012)

Friday, July 29, 2016

Hello, everyone!

In the second episode of throwback movie, I want to bring up again What Maisie Knew because for me, this movie didn't have enough attention in the premiere year so why not now?

This movie is an excellent one, it is clearly underrated. What Maisie Knew is one of those movies which you can see from any point of view you want to see. It is completely a movie about reality of marriage, divorce, children and life - basically. This is about how man and woman tried to share custody, how their children became a victim of situation, how other people, completely strangers, became the real parents.

MAYBELLINE THE MAGNUM BARBIE MASCARA

Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Hello, everyone!

As a big fan of Maybelline mascaras, I couldn't stop myself to not picking up this new addition to their mascara lists. The Magnum Barbie mascara is the expanding product from the previous Magnum range. This one claimed as volumizing and lengthening mascara, like Barbie's eyes.

The packaging looks identical to the original The Magnum mascara, what makes it different is the deep pink cap and the Barbie original signature. It looks cute thou. The combination of bright yellow tube with deep Barbie-ish pink makes the packaging looks more girly and fun.

DARE TO BE YOU

Saturday, July 23, 2016

Hello, everyone!

Few days ago, I was talking with my best friend on the phone for almost 4 hours. He is a very dear friend to me, we've known each other since high school. I can talk with him about anything I like, even those TMI facts. I laughed so hard that night, I don't even remember when was the last time I was so talkative and laughed that hard.

There's one thing that really stayed in my mind since that night. He is nearly - almost a different person. He who's talking with me and he, who's talking with other people is just different. When I go out with him, only two of us, and when I go out with him and our other friends, he's different. After years of knowing him, I found my answer that night. Because he is more comfortable with me than anybody else.

I'M MUSLIM AND I'M NOT A TERRORIST

Saturday, July 16, 2016

the other day, I received a rather than terrible message on my tumblr inbox along with other messages. This special one really caught my attention, not only this person was wondering why I care about black people and LGBT, but also he said that I'm a terrorist.

I am muslim. I am wearing hijab for most of my days. I am not a terrorist.

I know that this is supposed to be not a big deal because it sent anonymously to me but it hurt to see that there's still people out there who haven't educated themselves. I feel obligated to speak up on my platform, to defend myself and other muslim sisters and brothers out there who received such horrible judgements.

It makes me sad that people still thinking all muslim are terrorist. If so, why those attacks happened in muslim majority countries? Why it killed hundreds - even thousands muslims while they were pray? while they were fasting in the holy month of Ramadan?

It doesn't make any sense. Not even a bit.

Those attacks made by terrorist, not muslims. Trust me, we're muslims hate ISIS more than you can think of. They claimed as muslims, do the right thing based on Al-Qur'an, based on Allah Swt. but no, none of their claims are true.

I'm not a perfect person, not a very religious person who you can look up to. I'm still learning day by day but all I know, every religion will never told their people to do bad things, to kill, to attack, to torture.

I care about humanity not about your religion or skin colour or sexuality. I don't care about any of those. That's your life, that's your right to choose and none should be judge by their choices. What matter is human rights.

None deserves to be judge because their religion.
None should be scared to get out of their house because their skin colour.

Why can't we live equally without being bitchy about religion, sexuality and skin colour? Why can't we live peacefully as human beings?

BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX SERUM GEL FOUNDATION

Wednesday, July 13, 2016

Hello, everyone!

It's been awhile since I wrote in depth product review. I wasn't buying too much but recently, I find my skin color is getting paler and more sensitive. I decided I need new foundation. I bought Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation in light vanilla #paleprobs

Bourjois is a brand from France, based on Paris to be exact. It's not a new brand for me although I never tried it before. I often see their products used by beauty bloggers and vloggers. They also really like this brand especially its foundation. Don't understand why I never get myself to this brand until now.

I tried this foundation several times before, so here's what I thought:

30 DAYS QUESTIONS: #30 WHAT THE BEST ADVICE YOU'VE EVER GET FOR LIFE?

Tuesday, July 05, 2016

YOUR SKY, YOUR LIMIT

There are so many advices given to me directly or indirectly that really inspire me to do good things but this one specifically, came from a guy who didn't even know I'm exist, from a public figure I look up to named Tom Hiddleston.

This sentence with only four words somehow really opened up my minds and heart to do more, to step out from my comfort zone, to try something new I never thought before, to never stop believing and chasing my dreams.

I always be a person who trying so hard to get what I want but ever since I heard this advice, I think more about what I want in my life - what I really want. I feel selfish for my future, I feel those responsibilities to achieve my dreams.

None ever has a limit for something they want. Those limits only on your head. If you believe in yourself, in your sky, you can have no limit. You can have whatever you want.

30 DAYS QUESTIONS: #29 WHAT MOVIE YOU RECENTLY WATCHED? | THE LEGEND OF TARZAN SPOILER FREE REVIEW

Monday, July 04, 2016

THE LEGEND OF TARZAN!!!!!

I love it so much! I love everything about this movie. It brings so many memories from my childhood. My inner little girl - also fangirl - was so on point throughout the movie.

The movie is directed by David Yates - yep, that person who gave you an amazing final of Harry Potter. We can see his best work in this reboot. The flawless camera angles, CGI, and plot from one to another. Soft and detailed storyline but yet, leaving us something to remember.

This movie is not your typical Tarzan and Jane movie because it takes time 10 years after Tarzan moved to London, England with his beloved wife, Jane. Now, the ghost on the trees, the man who raised in the jungle, the guy who understood animals, was known as John Clayton

Alexander Skarsgard is the only guy who can played Tarzan in this modern era. He portrayed Tarzan perfectly: his gaze, his voice, his behaviour, his well building body - damn those abs! are so on point! I can't even remember when was the last time I adore someone who swinging from one tree to another shirtless. Nope.

Alex's Tarzan is gentle, kinder, and more human version and we positively agree. Like mama always said, 'find a guy who can be gentle and wild at the same time' and here he is everybody! I like how intelligence and kind John Clayton is, how he grew up and tried so hard to be a human when he was raised to be an animal. How he accepted and respected his legacy to be the one and only heir. But when he's in the jungle, we saw both. Yes. We saw John Clayton and Tarzan in one and that's fantastic!

"a normal man can do something impossible for someone he loves. my husband is no normal man." - Jane Clayton.

Our girl crush, Jane played by Margot Robbie is not bad herself. She's so luminous and so Jane. We remember Jane's bravery and faith and I saw it on Margot's Jane. The combination of lady-like and girl from the jungle. She gave us another lesson to know when you have to be strong and brave. I think she should be little girl's role model. She's smart, has a big heart and brave. She has John/Tarzan, who can do everything for her, but yet she doesn't dependence on him because she can protects herself. With what? her amazing bravery.

Their endless love story is something that really enjoyable and give you all the feelings. They love each other like none. They trust each other more than someone can trust anyone. Ladies, if this love story doesn't give you tears and faith of true love, I don't know what it is.

Needless to say, this movie is an amazing, breathtaking one. Have to say this is the best Tarzan movie I've ever watched.

30 DAYS QUESTIONS: #27 WHICH AUTHOR WOULD YOU LIKE TO HANG OUT WITH FOR A DAY AND WHY?

Saturday, July 02, 2016

It's J.K Rowling of course! I'd love to live inside her head to explore more about Harry Potter world if I could!

I'm a big fan of Harry Potter and if I have a chance to hang out with my most favourite author in the whole world, I'd be very happy. I'd be the happiest person on earth because I could talk to her, I could ask her more about Harry Potter, I can even ask her about writing tips and stuff like that.

Darn it, this question kills me!

30 DAYS QUESTIONS: #26 WHAT'S YOUR OPINION ABOUT LYING, CHEATING AND BETRAYING?

Friday, July 01, 2016

I hate them. I hate being lied, cheated on, and of course betrayed. I hate it because I promise to myself I would never do that to people. But sadly, I've been there. I've been experienced how it felt like to be the victim on those - yes, three of them.

When people lie one time, and they're 'safe' then they lie again, it becomes addicted. Lying is contagious. While cheating and betraying are acts which are related to one another. When you cheat on someone, you betray them, you betray their trust and respect.

Trust and respect are built. You have to earn, work hard it to get someone's trust and respect. Once you break it, there's no turning back. It stays broken forever. Nothing can heal it. What I learned for years, trust doesn't have refill and once it gone, you won't get it back. Even if you do, it won't be the same.

30 DAYS QUESTIONS: #25 WHAT TIPS YOU WILL GIVE TO FRESHMEN IN COLLEGE?

Thursday, June 30, 2016

Congratulations for all freshmen and welcome to college life!

I think the best advices I've ever got and the one that I'd love to share with all newly college students out there. Here we go!

  1. Be yourself. You will meet new friends and that will be so many! You will be surprise how many people you will meed in a day. Whatever it is, do not ever be somebody you're not. Always stay true to yourself, be you is the best you can always do.
  2. Have a wide perspective - be open minded. You don’t know the kind of home life your fellow newly students are leaving behind or the environment they grew up in or what experiences they’ve been through. Be friendly and nice. It costs 0 to be a nice person.
  3. Be involve. Go to welcome events, orientations, involvement fair, or whatever event your campus have. This one is something I regret a bit because I didn't involve much when I was in freshmen. I think it will be very fun to be really involve with college activity.
  4. Always go to class. Your college life is not about hanging out with your new cool friends, right? It's all about to get educated and have degree behind your name.
  5. Buy the books. This is important. Some people said it's okay to borrow from your seniors or from the library. But for me personally, have your own book is more comfortable and also will be very useful in the future. You never know what might happens in the future, you might take parallel classes to certain subjects or you'll need it for your undergraduate thesis. Note: buy your books after you attend those classes. Lecturers will give your references what books you should have.
  6. Work hard but know GPA is not everything. This is probably the most important from above all. You have to understand and learn to balance when and why you have to study hard and of course, have time to chill and hang out with your friends. Your work hard will mostly always pays off in the end but remember, GPA is not the dead end answer. Work as hard as you can and do your absolute best, but know that that may mean a C or a B or an A-. That's totally fine and you are not alone. Every one has their down times. That's normal. That's life.
  7. Ask for help. If you're struggling in certain classes or subjects, you're welcome to ask your lecturers or their assistants to ask out of class. They will be happy to help you. It shows that you're trying your best in their classes. You'll have 2 bonuses, first you'll understand. Second, your lecturers most likely will remember the ones who work hard.
  8. Always take notes in every class. You can't remember everything and that's why notes and pen are invented! So stop being lazy and write. You have that fancy binder so why leave it blanks? You will be so thankful if you always take note, in the end when you're about to have final exams, you don't have to read from the whole book, take a look at your notes will do the job!
  9. Always make time for yourself. Either it is going to your favourite coffee shop or watching movies or maybe shopping or stay at home, getting your pamper routine done. Whatever makes you happy and relax. You deserve it!
  10. Last but not least, enjoy it. You'll have less stress, less drama in life if you stop overthinking about everything and learn how to enjoy every little thing. Be grateful and be happy.

Good luck! Xx
